Culinary Unit
The Culinary unit plans monthly menus, purchases all supplies necessary for meals, completes grocery shopping.  Maintains sanitation of kitchen and equipment, serves coffee, ensures timely rotation of stock and produces a delicious and nutritious lunch each day. Culinary unit also provides the following:
  • Preparation of snacks and beverages for meetings
  • Assists with Safe Serve Certification
  • Recipe look up and creation
  • Food and equipment preparations
  • Food presentation and serving
  • Safe food and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Mastering effective time management
  • Baking skills
  • Creative menu planning and food pairing

Cafe - The Cafe is managed by the culinary unit.  The Cafe is where we sell a variety of items including ice cream, baked goods, candy, pop, coffee, and an assortment of sweet treats.  Working in the Cafe includes training on the cash register, learning to be a runner for the Cafe and end of day accounting procedures associated with sales clerk responsibilities.
