What is a Clubhouse?
    Clubhouse is a powerful demonstration of the fact that people with mental illness can and do lead normal, productive lives. The Clubhouse offers members opportunities to foster long-term relationships, which in turn support them in achieving employment, education, and other attainable goals.

​​​They are community centers that offer members:
  • A work-ordered day in which the talents and abilities of members are recognized and utilized within the Clubhouse​
  • Participation in consensus-based decision-making regarding all important matters related to the running of the clubhouse. 
  • Opportunities to obtain paid employment in mainstream businesses and industries through a Clubhouse-created Transitional Employment Program. In addition, members participate in Clubhouse-supported and independent employment/vocational programs
  • Assistance in accessing community-based educational resources
  • Evening & weekend social activities and recreational events
  • Access to crisis intervention when needed
  • Assistance in securing and sustaining safe, decent, and affordable housing
You are eligible to become a member if you are 18 or older with a Mental Health or Substance Abuse Disorder.  You feel River Raisin might benefit you in an area of your recovery.
